First time Parents

Being a new parent is hugely rewarding, but it’s also hard work – especially at first. It’s emotional, takes lots of energy and patience with yourself and your baby. Nothing can quite prepare you for the arrival of a newborn, no matter how many books you read or friends you talk to. Whilst it is a truly magical experience, it takes time to adjust, to get to know your baby and their needs, and to feel confident and comfortable in your new role. Try to remember that it’s the same for every parent, you’re learning on the job whilst you are also coping with the dramatic change to your normal life and all of this on top of managing sleepless nights. 

This service is suitable for first time parents with babies up to 8 weeks that would like individual support, reassurance and guidance. I offer a bespoke plan where I will coach you by giving practical demonstrations, answer all your questions and support you in everything you do to care for your little one. No question is too silly or small, but equally if you are facing any significant challenges we can work through these together and make sure you are in a place where caring for your newborn is not only manageable but a genuine pleasure.

• Colic, reflux and crying
• Understand the feeding and sleeping patterns
• Nappy changing, bathing and hygiene
• Dressing baby and managing temperature 
• Attachment, care and bonding

• Emotional transition to parenthood 
• Understand your newborn cues for when the baby is hungry, tired or uncomfortable.

Sky package -  £150*

• This option includes a 4h home-visit to support you on the above issues and any other newborn related questions you may have
• Phone: 3x 20 minute calls to support you as you follow the advice given (to be used within 15 days from home visit)

Sky package PLUS - £350*

This package is for parents that would like extensive help. I will be coaching you and observing your newborn for 22h, advising you on matters such as feeding and sleeping patterns, techniques to sooth and settle your baby, support with breastfeeding, help with bathing and dressing your baby, and overall reassurance for you. I will be there to make sure that you start this new journey as smoothly as possible.

Home visit: 22 hours

Text/WhatsApp support: unlimited

Phone: 4x20 minute calls to support you as you follow the advice given (to be used within 15 days from home visit)

Please note that travel expenses are in addition.

All correspondence is answered between 9:00am and 7:30pm. Responses may not be immediate if I am with a client.

*Weekend and bank holiday supplement - Weekend dates are in high demand. A £40 supplement is charged for each weekend day booked. A £50 supplement is applied to visits on bank holidays.

Further support 

• Additional phone calls can be purchased at a cost of £24 per 20 minute call (post-visit).
• Urgent telephone calls can be taken outside normal hours (9am to 7.30pm) but are charged at double rate.
• Additional texts are charged daily at £30 (7 texts per day)
• Additional home-visit coaching is available, on request, and may be very useful in challenging cases.
• Shorter visits are also an option if you wish to book an urgent visit or follow-up. In situations where a full 5 hour visit cannot be scheduled, separate prices will be quoted, dependent on availability.
